Our Mission

Legal Services for Seniors protects the rights, dignity, and independence of Monterey County residents age 60 and older by providing no-cost legal assistance, advocacy, and education. Our work helps seniors address legal issues that may impact their housing, financial security, health care decisions, and peace of mind.

Our History

For more than 40 years, Legal Services for Seniors has been a trusted nonprofit resource for older adults throughout Monterey County. What began as a response to the legal needs of local seniors has grown into a countywide organization providing direct legal assistance, community education, and advocacy to help seniors remain safe, informed, and independent.
